Kyle Burns my brother shot and I edited this reggae masterpiece. He was flown out to Hawaii for the shoot. Lucky bastard. In a world full of negative vibes and grey havens, Soul Majestic peacefully enlightens it’s listeners with a hope for a better better tomorrow. Their album was recorded at Tuff Gong Studios in Kingston, Jamaica. Check em out.

DANOZONE has posted a trailer for Michael Hamm’s latest skate video “Rock ‘n’ Roll”.  As you may or may not know, Mike has taken over as full time drummer for Lantern Black Lodge.

Nava is my Mother’s oldest and friendliest dog.  She lived with me in Los Angeles for a month or two last year, and she hated it so much that she ran away, and I had to pay $400 dollars to get her out of the pound.  She also cut her mouth eating floor boards at the old Lodge.  Nava, despite her manic explosions, is a sweet little lady of a dog, and she sings Happy Birthday for some unknown reason.  Nava is a Saluki, an Egyptian dog, and the fastest breed on earth.

I was in a Miller Lite commercial in 2008, that for some reason never reached the light of airing.  Of course it’s  disappointing, and now I am actually sad, because my friend Katie Rhee, whom I am acted with in the spot,  just sent me a link to the Director’s website JOACHIMBACK.COM, and there is it, in beautiful quicktime, and it’s  a really funny and sweet commercial!  Damn.  Either way it was great working with Katie and Joachim.  I wore Mr. Back’s blazer in the scene because they changed my wardrobe last minute.  They had me dressed like a hippie, a bit John Lennon-ish, and then the ad agency or some big dog realized that I might be too extreme, so they decided to go the opposite direction with my “look”.  Being that I’m tall, they didn’t have a jacket that fit me, and being that Joachim is also tall, he said something like, “Sorry about the hassle, try my jacket.”  It fit perfectly.  That’s my story, and here’s the commercial.  Click the stills for a link to the video.

This is a terrifying behind the scenes look at the making of LANTERN BLACK LODGE’s latest music video “So Dangerous”.  Shot in the woods, somewhere along the Mendocino Coast in January 2009.

John Ringer is a good buddy of mine and he was with me the night of the cemetery face massacre. He is on his way to New York Thursday, and I was supposed to be meeting him there and we were going to show New York what being a Northern California boy is all about. Well I failed John, because I am poor as I have ever been right now. Anyone looking for a fun man on the east coast should contact this man. Look him up on facebook or myspace or something.
